MECER 1200VA 720W 12V Inverter

The Mecer 1200VA / 720W 12V Inverter, model IVR-1200LBKS, is a compact backup-power solution for homes, home offices, small businesses and retail environments. With a continuous output of 720W, it is suitable for keeping essential electronics running during load shedding and power interruptions, including laptops, desktop PCs, monitors, Wi-Fi routers, fibre ONTs, CCTV systems, LED lighting and selected point-of-sale equipment.

This inverter operates from one 12V deep-cycle lead-acid battery, which is normally sold separately. It includes battery connection cables and a South African three-pin wall plug cable, while its LCD display provides convenient operating and battery-status information.

The unit uses a simulated sine-wave output, has a wide AC input range of 90–280VAC, and includes built-in AVR voltage regulation, overload protection and short-circuit protection. In battery mode, it supplies approximately 230VAC with a typical transfer time of around 20ms.

Important: Keep the total connected load below the 720W maximum output. This inverter is intended for IT equipment and low-to-medium power electronics; appliances with heating elements, compressors or motors—such as kettles, heaters, refrigerators and pumps—should not be connected unless their running and start-up loads have been assessed. It is designed for lead-acid/deep-cycle batteries rather than lithium batteries.
